Neuson Forest 133HVT
The compact tracked harvester for tasks ranging from energy wood harvesting all the way to the 2nd thinning
Due to its extremely high climbing ability and compact design (2.55m in width) the 133HVT can be used optimally for thinning even in steep terrain.
Due to the powerfully dimensioned drive and the twin-track rollers a tractive force is achieved that is greater than the machine’s own weight. The tractive force is equally great in both directions (forwards and backwards). The enormously high tractive force of the harvester facilitates its optimal use on slopes and guarantees progressive movement even in rugged terrain.
the slope compensator that is incorporated in the machine enables the upper carriage to be levelled +25° at the front and +/-15° laterally. In this way you can also work considerably faster in steep terrain also and you can have better stability than you would have with wheeled machines or tracked machines without the tilt feature as well. In addition, the optional dozer blade of the 133HVT that is available can be used on a slope.
The low centre of gravity, the big footprint and the counterweight applied to the crane facilitate unrestricted operation with optimal stability even on. Due to specific chains for operation in steep areas stability can be increased further.
The ground pressure of the machine is reduced to a minimum due to drives with a width of up to 70 cm. With a load of under 0.35 kg/cm2 the value is far below that of a comparable wheeled machine. In addition this value can be further reduced by optional extra-wide chains that are available specifically for use in wet areas. A minimal level of soil compaction, which cannot be attained by any other machine, is produced by the extremely low ground pressure.
Due to its optimal design and the infinite rotatability of the upper carriage as well as the tight tail swing the machine is prevented from having to move much on wet ground. Trees can be removed even from directly behind the harvester and worked on whilst conserving soil and without disturbing the subsoil. Thus, due to the great range of the crane considerable areas can be worked on. Also leaving skid trails for turning the machine isn’t necessary due to the space-saving design.
The great tractive force of Neuson Ecotec tracked harvesters has also proven itself in wet and slimy ground. The dozer blade, which lends additional stability to the 133HVT while it is in operation also serves to smooth the roadway in this area of application.
